I love nature, so I have noticed that wood patterns are much like waves.
so with paintings done on wood panels, I usually follow the patterns of the wood, and trusting my muses, I go from there, free-associating, and pretty soon the images are suggested to me out of nowhere. I saw the faint outlines of birds in my imagination, so I started drawing them with a brush and the rest just happened. Since I love waves and Sunrises and sunsets, that's what I did. I usually have some of my favorite music on my iPad as I'm painting, and that helps the process flow....
